Referrals
We are deeply sorry to announce that FASDx Services is no longer accepting referrals as of October 16, 2019.
FASDx Services will be closing it's office on January 31, 2020.
Several factors including decreased viable referrals, less access to our community team members, reduced Medicaid reimbursement to team members, the onset of the other developmental clinics in the Anchorage bowl area (that include FASD diagnosis as part of their services), and the focus on the opioid crisis have combined to make this referral hub/office operation unsustainable.
We are deeply saddened about this service cessation and hope that an alternative model of FASD diagnosis (particularly for the non-Native community) can be created in the near future. We intend to be actively involved in helping to create what we hope can be a new FASD diagnosis model that is sustainable and accessible to all Alaskans who seek diagnosis, including adults.
